Tiling
WorkflowDefinition
The process of splitting a very large image across multiple sheets that are then assembled to create an oversized print.
In-Depth Explanation
Tiling is used when the desired output size exceeds the maximum print width of the printer. The software divides the image into overlapping sections (tiles) that are printed separately and then physically assembled. Most RIP software and some design applications (like Adobe Illustrator) include tiling features with overlap and crop mark options.
