ICC Profile
Color ManagementDefinition
A standardized color profile (International Color Consortium) that describes how a specific printer, ink, and media combination reproduces color.
In-Depth Explanation
ICC profiles are essential for color-accurate printing. They map the color gamut of your specific printer/ink/media combination so that what you see on screen matches what comes out of the printer. DesignJet printers ship with built-in profiles for HP media, but custom profiles can be created using a spectrophotometer for third-party media. The Z-Series printers include a built-in spectrophotometer for automatic profile generation.
